Good progress but more to do: teenage pregnancy and young parents

Date published:

This report, published jointly by LGA and Public Health England, looks at the progress made since the introduction of the Teenage Pregnancy Strategy introduced 15 years ago. Whilst the conception rate for teenage pregnancies has halved since 1998 and is at a historic low, England's teenage pregnancy rate remains amongst the highest in western Europe and regional variations and inequalities exist between different local authorities in England. This report brings together case studies from local councils and highlights examples of good practice.
